Shady developer dealings

Tenants, neighbors, the PS75 community, and elected officials have all expressed deep concerns about the developers' lack of transparency, legal game-playing, and vague claims about tenant and street safety. The plans and objections have developed rapidly, and it has been difficult to catalog the current concerns here. Instead, you can read through them by looking at posts labeled press releases  and letters and replies.

One shady dealing deserves special attention, though: the developers' entire project appears to be a pre-planned use of a lapse in NYC codes. The project could not be approved under past or current code, but was submitted during a brief period when the building code was not in effect. See this post for details.
